About the Author

Zane Brown has been Associational Missionary for the Colleton Baptist Association of Churches since 1994.  He has served as chaplain for the Colleton County Sheriff’s Office since 1999 and is a nationally certified Crisis Intervention Trainer for the National Organization for Victim Assistance.  He has led mission trips to Brazil, Venezuela, and West Virginia.  He has done post-disaster crisis intervention in New York City after 9/11 and the Gulf Coast of Mississippi after Hurricane Katrina.   Zane married Vicki in 1977 and has two adult sons, Cameron and Calen, and a beautiful daugher-in-law, Lauren. 

Zane received his B.A. from Charleston Southern University, his M.Div. from Southeastern Baptist Seminary, and his D.Min from Luther Rice Seminary.  He has been a pastor, a teacher, and a hospital chaplain and currently serves as a reserve officer with the Colleton County Sheriff’s Office.
